Day 1: Australia - Cairo
Please meet at the airport for your international flight to Cairo, Egypt.

Day 2: Cairo (D)
On arrival in Cairo you will be met and transferred by coach to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to settle in and explore your new surrounds.

Day 3: Cairo (BLD)
This morning you will enjoy a full day visit to the Pyramids, Sphinx, Memphis & Sakkara (entrance fees included). Lunch today will be in a local restaurant and dinner will be at your hotel or local restaurant.                   

Day 4: Cairo (BLD)
This morning you will have a full day excursion to the Old & Islamic Cairo. Lunch today will be in a local restaurant and dinner will be at your hotel or local restaurant.

Day 5: Cairo (BLD)
This morning you will visit the Egyptian Museum, one of the World’s most famous Museums. It houses antique pieces, Sarcophagi and the fabulous treasures from Tut Ankh Amoun’s Tomb. You will also visit The Citadel of Saladin built between 1176 and 1182 AD. Lunch today will be in a local restaurant and dinner will be at your hotel or local restaurant.

Day 6: Cairo – Alexandria (BLD)
Early this morning you will be transferred by coach to Alexandria, enroute you will visit the Roman Amphitheatre. You will then continue on the Catacombes of Kom El Shougafa, here you will see Roman Art and houses the statues of Sobek and Anubis wearing Roman armour. Lunch will be in a local restaurant and dinner will be at your hotel or local restaurant.

Day 7: Alexandria – Overnight train to Luxor (BLD)
This morning you will depart Alexandria for Cairo train station. Enroute you will visit Monasteries of Wadi El Natroun. On arrival in Cairo you will be transferred to the train station for departure to Luxor by overnight sleeper train. (Entrance fees and overnight train to Luxor included)  lunch today is at a local restaurant and dinner will be on the overnight train.

Day 8: Luxor (BD)
On arrival in Luxor early this morning, you will be met by your coach and transferred to the West Bank. This afternoon you will be transferred by coach to your hotel where you will spend the next two nights. Dinner tonight is at the hotel or local restaurant.

Day 9: Luxor (BD)
This morning you will visit the Temple of Luxor and the Temple of Karnak. Early in the afternoon you will be transferred back to your hotel where the rest of the day is free for teacher-organised activities. Dinner tonight is at the hotel or local restaurant.

Day 10: Luxor – Aswan (BD)
Early this morning you will be met and transferred by coach to Aswan, enroute you will visit Edfou Temple and The Temple of Horus. On arrival in Aswan you will be transferred to your hotel where you will spend the next two nights. (Entrance fees to temples included) dinner tonight is at the hotel or local restaurant.

Day 11: Aswan (BD)
This morning you will visit Philae Temple and High Dam, which was designed to control the Nile River. The huge dam controls flooding and stores water for times of drought. You will also visit the Unfinished Obelisk. The afternoon is then free for teacher organised activities. Dinner tonight is at the hotel or local restaurant.

Day 12: Aswan – Overnight train to Cairo (BD) 
This morning is free for teacher organised activities or you may like to visit Abu Simbel. Abu Simbel is among the most magnificent monuments in the world. This afternoon you will be transferred to Aswan Train Station for departure to Cairo in an overnight sleeper train (one way train fare included). Dinner tonight will be on the train.

Day 13: Cairo (BLD)
This morning you will arrive into Cairo, where you will be taken on a half-day city tour, which includes Cairo Tower. Lunch today will be in a local restaurant. This afternoon you will enjoy a cruise, dinner and a show. You will then be transferred back to your hotel.


Day 14: Cairo – Australia (B)
Depending on your flight times you may have time for some last minute packing before being transferred to the Cairo Airport for your flight back to Australia.

Day 15: Australia
Arrive home.
